Nestled in the foothills of Mountain Kaikomagatake is Hakushu distillery, home to Suntory's whisky production for over a century. To celebrate 100 years at this location, they are releasing a special 12-year single malt.

The whisky gets its subtle smoky notes from the pristine mountain waters used in distillation. On the nose, you'll find sweet pear and mint aromas. Sip it and flavors of green tea emerge on the finish.

Despite its age, this expression remains very approachable. The mouthfeel is gentle and easy to drink. Complex yet balanced, this anniversary release pays tribute to Hakushu's unique highland location and pure water source.
